After a year of research and development , Kyle was ready to introduce the BarrelMover 5000 to the traffic control and paving industries in February 2016 during the ATSSA Traffic Expo in New Orleans. In March, the BarrelMover 5000 was taken to Nashville for the World Of Asphalt Show. Contractors from coast to coast and overseas positively responded to the BarrelMover 5000.
Since the shows, contractors are impressed with the time and money saved by using the BarrelMover 5000 during the set up or removal of a lane closure, allowing their productivity to increase each shift while keeping the employees away from the dangers of moving traffic.
In the March issue of AsphaltPro I was doing some research looking for safety articles when I came across the article on the Barrel Mover 5000. I read the article which lead me to go to the vendor’s website. When I got to the vendors website I was able to watch a video that was recorded on the Barrel Mover 5000. I thought this was the best safety invention in a long time. I reached out to the vendor for the Barrel Mover 5000 and found out they were going to have a booth at the World of Asphalt Convention. We had Project Managers and Superintendents signed up to go to the convention so I asked Randy Ramsey our Highway Superintendent to reach out to the vender while there. He stopped at the booth and arranged to have the vendor come to our yard and conduct a hands on demonstration moving barrels and cones. We found the demonstration and information very informative and ended up purchasing the piece of equipment on the spot.
We have used the Barrel Mover 5000 several times on our public highway jobs. It now keeps our employees safely inside the cab of a pickup truck and out of danger. They no longer have to stand in the middle of the road when moving barrels to setup traffic control.

DOT officials understand the benefits the BarrelMover 5000 can offer a highway contractor and for many, they are eager to assist us in promoting our product throughout their states.
Rob Hecker , Branch Manager with KYTC, was so impressed with the BarrelMover 5000 after attending a demonstration, he felt that Kyle Ruby needed to present his product at the national conference for the North American Association of Transportation Safety and Health Officials (NAATSHO) in Louisville, Kentucky. Forty four state DOT offices were represented at the conference and after watching the BarrelMover 5000 presentation, were quick to agree with Kyle, that the BarrelMover 5000 is the "REAL DEAL" when it comes to traffic control safety.
